The West River Regional Envirothon will take place at the Peaceful Valley Ranch inside Theodore Roosevelt National Park. The group campsite at Cottonwood Campground has been reserved for schools interested in camping the night before or evening of the event. There are excellent hiking trails and driving routes to enjoy after the event as well.

Welcome to the first West River Regional Envirothon (September 16, 2026). We hope that students and teachers enjoy this opportunity to learn about natural resources in the beautiful setting of the Theodore Roosevelt National Park. This Regional Event will include education stations with team building problem solving challenges. This regional event is FREE due to the generous donations of location soil conservation districts. Schools and volunteers also receive FREE entrance to the park care of Theodore Roosevelt National Park.
